Statistics for big Patriots Post

These are the numbers for the Patriots post. I stuck them here, on September 1, just to put them out of the way.

Running Backs:
For Corey Dillon, with the Bengals he averaged 17.4 rushes/game for 75 yards/game average, or 4.3 yards/rush. He scored 45 TDs in 107 games, or about 0.4 TD/Game. He also caught almost 2 passes/game.

With the Patriots, Dillon has averaged 17.5 rushes/game for an average of 74 yards, or about 4.2 yards/rush. But he’s scored 37 TD in 43 games, for an average of 0.84 TD/game. He catches a little over 1 pass/game .

So Dillon is scoring more TDs than in the past, but is otherwise the exact same RB he’s always been. Maybe he scores more TDs because he gets the ball at the goal line now, and didn’t back when he played for the Bengals.

For Antowain Smith, he went from rushing 13 times/game for 51 yards in Buffalo to rushing 16 times/game for 62 yards with New England. His TD/game are about the same, at 0.47 per game. His catches/game doubled, from 0.7 with BUF to 1.4 with New England.

After he left New England he stayed pretty much the same, averaging 3.7 yards/carry with Tennessee and 4 yards/carry with New Orleans.

So Smith looks the same, too.
